Then you ask, where is the line between medicine and body modification?Ī doctor is better equipped to deal with sepsis (above)
#FARRAH FLAWLESS BEFORE AND AFTER LICENSE#
Getting charged with practising medicine without a license is not fun. A lot of procedures, at first, were done behind closed doors: Invite only, only the “heavily modded invited”, and some procedures done in hotel rooms. Some procedures done that couldn’t be reversed: scarification, meatontomies (splitting the head of the penis in half), subinicision (going down the shaft further) and other things, like pointed ears, which are more subtle. Split tongues do rock (that’s mine, I don’t have the piercings anymore, I like my teeth) People were getting procedures done they couldn’t easily reverse: Implants, transdermal implants, visible and extreme tattoos and piercings, split tongues. I had minimal piercings, no tattoos (I was under 18) and I was permanently altering my body with stretched earlobes and big holes in my cartilage. It grew to be about 50/50 and it started the IAM community. When I joined, in 1999, it was more of a fetish/BDSM site, with a bit of piercing. Eventually, he was allowed to blog about body mod’s again, but the site was ruined, the “scene” was split, and it was over. It started in 1994 by Shannon Larratt (link to his suicide note) and ended in a lawsuit where he was deemed too “crazy to run a website like that” and given the kid.

I equate body modification’s movement to BME, or the Body Modification E-zine (link). As with any cosmetic surgery decision, it’s all about what makes you feel confidence – and while a plumped up pout was the ideal for a younger Lisa Rinna, the older star wanted something more subtle.Caution: Some images may be disturbing to some. A few years back, she actually had some of the silicone removed from her lips to tone down her trout pout – and she looks gorgeous either way. However, Rinna proves that, thanks to today’s technology and medical advances, the stupid decisions you made when you were young can sometimes be addressed. Over the years, she learned to embrace her pout, even making jokes about it in interviews and good-naturedly answering questions. Unfortunately, she plumped them up a little too much – way more than could pass as natural. When she first came to Hollywood and was trying to make it big in the entertainment industry, Rinna decided to get lip injections to plump up her pout a bit and make her appearance a little sexier.
#FARRAH FLAWLESS BEFORE AND AFTER MANUAL#
Lisa Rinna’s cosmetic surgery journey is basically an instruction manual on what not to do. Here are 15 celebrities who have gotten lip injections (no, that’s not just a plumping lip gloss.) After all, who doesn’t want the perfect pout?

There are a lot of cosmetic procedures that have become fairly common in Hollywood, from breast augmentation to rhinoplasty, but one of the most common is without doubt lip injections. Some take things way, way too far and end up becoming caricatures of themselves while others simply get a little nip and tuck that enhances their feature and leads the public to question whether they got anything done or not. While there are some celebrities who remain firmly anti-cosmetic surgery, being constantly photographed from all angles often sends other celebrities running to the plastic surgeon’s office. Celebrities see themselves plastered all over the tabloids day in and day out, and their flaws are often amplified for the world to see. However, there is one big downside to fame – all that adoration also comes with a healthy dose of scrutiny. Being a celebrity involves a lot of perks – you get paid ridiculous amounts of money, you get to travel in luxury, you can go on a shopping spree pretty much whenever you want, wherever you want, you get to wear couture gowns, you never have to wait in line at a restaurant, etc.
